Cu Chi Tunnels

The Cu Chi Tunnels form a vast network – covering 250 km – of underground ingenuity. Viet Cong guerilla fighters used them during the Vietnam War as hiding places, living quarters and storerooms for food and weapons. There were even makeshift hospitals and schools below ground. Some of the tunnels are now open, allowing visitors to crawl or shuffle through and even try the basic rations that the inhabitants would have eaten. The two sites are located around 40 km and 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
