National Art Gallery

The building of the National Art Gallery alone is well worth a visit, thanks to its traditional architecture with a twist. Inside, three floors linked by a central spiral staircase will introduce you to the riches of the modern and contemporary local arts scenes. Wong Hoy Cheong, Zulkifli Mohd Dahlan and Chuah Thean Teng lead the way. The top floor is dedicated to sometimes-experimental works by emerging young Asian artists whom the National Art Gallery is keen to promote. The only destination of its kind in Malaysia, it is incredibly popular with Kuala Lumpur’s artistic community.
