Brussels Town Hall

The Town Hall, with its richly carved facade, was built during the first half of the 15th century in Brussels. This is the last example of the original Gothic architecture of the Grand Place, which was bombed in 1695 by Louis XIV. At the top of the spire, 5 meters high, one can see a representation of the Archangel St. Michael slaying a dragon. All around this majestic building, one finds houses referring to former corporations. The building known as "The King" houses a museum devoted to the city outlining works of art, but also the wardrobe of the famous Manneken-Pis.
