At an imposing 452 metres, the tallest twin towers in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, stand proudly over Kuala Lumpur. Built in 1998 by the Argentinian architect César Pelli right in the heart of the City Centre, they house the offices of the Malaysian oil company that gave the monument its name, along with shops, a mosque and leisure equipment, spread over 88 floors. A trip to the top is a must if you’re staying in Kuala Lumpur. Make your way to the 41st and 42nd floor, 170 metres high, to the bridge that connects the two towers. The view of the city is truly amazing.
