Visiting the markets of New Delhi is a must. Chandni Chowk, with its maze of eclectic stalls in Old Delhi, is one of the city’s most famous. A packed crowd flocks here during the week, except on Sundays when it is closed. Lajpat Nagar Market, open every day except Monday, is ideal for bargain hunting for typical Indian fashion accessories. At Sarojini Nagar, you’ll find Western clothing brands at low prices. There are also several markets which are more atypical, such as Palika Bazaar underground market, or Yashwant market, the 'leather market', popular with Russians in New Delhi.
