The Best Luxury Experience Days in London

Looking to elevate your time in London? If you want to plan a special day but you’re not sure where to start, you’re in luck. There are a whole host of luxury experiences in London that are guaranteed memory-makers for you and your loved ones, no matter what your reason for visiting.

Here are a few of our favourites:

One Day Wine School
Berry Bros. & Rudd

Berry Bros. & Rudd, our favourite St James wine merchant, are offering one-day wine events in their historic London cellars. The family-run establishment has been nestled in luxurious St James since 1689, when it was started by the Widow Bourne and served as a grocer.

George Berry took the helm in the years following, lending his name to the establishment in 1810, passing ownership down to his sons, the ‘Berry Bros.’ in 1845. Along came Hugh Rudd, a well-traveled wine merchant, in 1920, and the name we know today was born.

Accruing two Royal Warrants and six Masters of Wine since its inception, Berry Bros. & Rudd is iconic for its integrity, honesty, and provision of the highest quality at all levels. Their home at No. 3 St James’s Street has remained much the same since 1689 and is the perfect setting for your luxury day in London.

Their One-Day Wine School experiences vary in style and price, from £295 to £495. The days are typically relaxed yet educational, including a delicious four-course lunch with wine pairing.

Tate to Tate Tour
Tate Britain

The UK’s most iconic art galleries, Tate Modern and Tate Britain are situated around two miles away from each other alongside different points of the Thames.

If you’re interested in visiting both sites in one day, you could walk or take the tube between them, or, you could book onto the Tate to Tate tour and enjoy a relaxing trip on the Tate Boat between guided tours of both sites.

The Tate to Tate tour costs just £28 per person and requires a minimum group size of 15. Perfect for group or family trips to the capital, sophisticated celebrations, or laid-back business or networking events, Tate to Tate is a truly memorable way to experience Tate London’s expansive collection.

Pasta Making Class with Prosecco
Bellavita Academy

Situated in Whitechapel, Bellavita Academy calls itself an ‘institute of Italian culinary culture’. Professionals and amateur enthusiasts can attend classes, events, and workshops, all with the aim of improving gastronomic stills and knowledge.

Their consumer courses include pizza making, wine tasting, wine and food pairing, and macaron making, but our favourite is the pasta making masterclass – a skill which you’ll take with you into dinner parties and mealtimes for the rest of your life.

With a Bellavita master as your guide, you’ll learn how to make fresh pasta, as well as how to cut and mould it into traditional shapes. At the end of the class, you can sit down and enjoy the delicious meal you’ve cooked for yourself alongside some fine Prosecco and craft beer.
