The Seoul Arts Centre, located in the district of Seocho-gu, south
of the capital, is a temple dedicated to culture. 2.5 million visitors flock there every
year. Set across 22 hectares and a dozen buildings, the Seoul Arts Centre comprises several
museums, art installations and giant exhibition halls. Lovers of the visual arts should
visit the Hangaram Art Museum, an architectural feat with 6 exhibition halls, or the Seoul
Calligraphy Art Museum and the Hangaram Design Museum. The Seoul Arts Center is also home to
the Opera House, which hosts performances of the Korean National Ballet of Korea and the
National Choir.
