Night Markets in Hanoi

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, a number of streets in Hanoi’s old town become pedestrianised in order to accommodate the city’s weekly night market. Swept up in a vibrant waltz, tourists come and inhale the atmosphere of old Hanoi. The noise of the animated vendors and the aromas of Vietnamese cuisine fills the colonial streets. Between the street food stands and the souvenir stalls, the market offers an explosion of colors, enhanced by lanterns.
