Fine Arts Museum

Since the 19th century, the city hall has housed the Musée des Beaux-Arts (Musba). Across from it is the Fine Arts Gallery, whose temporary exhibitions complement the museum proper. This Bordeaux institution explores all the richness of European art from the 15th to 20th centuries. Visitors can follow the evolution of Italian painting from the Renaissance to the 18th century, the emergence of the Dutch school and the birth of major artistic trends in France. Discover Bordeaux artists the likes of André Lhote and Odilon Redon, whose works are found alongside masters such as Rubens, Picasso, Delacroix and Véronèse.
