Situated 15 kilometers south of Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road, Anek
Kuson Sala is a surprising temple and museum. Built in Yansangwararam Park in 1988, it
rises, majestic and colorful. The landmark is fascinating to visit, as it celebrates the
sacred union of Thai and Chinese cultures. Also called Viharn His, it is almost entirely
dedicated to Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian deities. A Museum of Art and History, Viharn His
is home to over 300 impressive statues, frescoes which recount the life of Buddha, the
twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, silk paintings, ancient pottery and traditional
clothing Siamese.
