Despite the proximity of Paris-CDG airport, whose construction has changed the town’s destiny, and Aéroville, the brand new mega-mall, Roissy remains a typical Ile-de-France village with a weekly market. You can squeeze and smell fresh fruits and vegetables every Saturday from 8am to 1.30pm in Place de Pays de France, right in the town centre. A great opportunity to dive into local life, encountering Roissy residents who go to the market every week to run into neighbours and buy from favourite venders. If you’re looking for seafood, though, you’ll have to come back Thursday morning, the day for fishmongers.
