Liverpool One Shopping Center

The Liverpool One Shopping Center is part of a larger project to rehabilitate 1,700 hectares of land in the heart of the city. Liverpool One is also an entertainment hub - including a cinema, theater and green spaces - and a residential area. It was inaugurated in 2008, at the time when the city was the European Capital of Culture. The British chain stores Debenhams and John Lewis (who claims to be "the favoured department store in the country") have set up extensive branches there. Alongside these two giants, brands such as Cath Kidston, Dr. Martens, Fred Perry, Karen Millen, Miss Selfridge and Waterstones also flourish.
