Highlights Marseille, France

The Old Port

Ever since its founding by the Greeks 2,600 years ago, the oldest city in France has served as a gateway to the world. The Vieux-Port witnessed this heritage and remains at the heart of local life: the Phocaean city was born here and here it lives on. Between luxury yachts and picturesque sailboats, fish are sold to the highest bidders while people chat on benches or enjoy drinks at terrace cafés and bars. Don’t miss crossing the port on the famous ferryboat, and be sure to book one of the sea shuttles going to the Frioul Islands and Chateau d’If.
