Le Musée du Quai Branly

The Musée du Quai Branly opened close to the Eiffel Tower in 2006, where famous French architect Jean Nouvel was inspired by that particular metal structure when he designed the main building. The museum houses more than a million exhibits from its fantastic collections, dedicated to the art and civilisations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. Temporary exhibitions are also hosted within its plant-covered walls. After exploring the museum, the gardens, spread over 17,500m2, are a delightful place to take a break, as is the restaurant’s roof terrace, which offers spectacular panoramic views of the banks of the Seine.
