Grande Arche de la Défense

The defining structure of Greater Paris, the Grande Arche de La Défense is the district’s most emblematic monument. Built in 1989 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, this arch was inspired by another arch: the Arc de Triomphe, also located on the historic axis. Take one of the glass lifts to the panoramic roof. At 100m above ground level, the walkway offers a 1,000sqm outdoor space from which you can admire the majestic perspective of the Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower and other major Parisian monuments. Here you have arguably the most beautiful 360° view of the capital.
