Huaihai Road

Huaihai Road is one of the most important shopping streets in Shanghai. Over the 5.5 kilometres of Middle Huaihai Road, formerly the Rue Joffre, small shops and shopping malls, Chinese and international brands, come one after the other. There are no fewer than 400 shops in all. For its own part, the eastern end of the street, near Xintiandi, is distinctly more stylish. Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Bally, Hugo Boss, Kenzo, Gucci, Ferragamo and Ermenegildo Zegna are all located there. Another shopping paradise is the Nanjing Road, which starts at the Bund. Half of the street is pedestrianised and is home to several shopping malls.
