Agam Fountain

Installed in 1988, The Monumental Fountain by Israeli artist Yaacov Agam is one of the most emblematic works in La Défense. Located in the centre of the Esplanade, this huge multi-coloured pool, which ends in a spillway, faces the Grande Arche and is an indelible part of the historic axis’s perspective. More than just a fountain, this flagship of La Défense Art Collection is a living installation whose colours and shapes play with its environment. Thus, visitors never see the same work twice. Spotlights illuminate each of the 66 jets, resulting in a superb night-time show.
