What's past is very present at Eindhoven Museum’s PreHistorich Dorp, a collection of indoor–outdoor exhibits that bring six periods of North Brabant’s history to life. Located in Gennepen Park, home of the famous water mill, visitors can see what life was like during the eras of hunter-gatherers, the first farmers, Romans, Franks and Vikings, and trade and cities. The last site covers the devastating Eighty Years’ War with Spain for independence.
Prehistoric Village has been voted one of the top ‘kid-proof’ museums in the Netherlands. It is open Tuesday–Sunday from Easter weekend through 31 October.
