The north face of Khao Chi Chan, a solitary limestone hill in
Pattaya, features an imposing golden Buddha. This representation of Buddha, sitting
cross-legged with one hand on his knee, is laser engraved in rock, measuring 109 meters high
and 70 meters wide, and is visible from great distances. It was established in 1996 to
commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the King of Thailand, His Majesty Bhumibol. Make sure to
walk around the "Laser Buddah" site in the verdant wilderness and enjoy this breath of fresh
air between days spent at the beach or shopping in Pattaya.
