CNIT

Built in 1958, the CNIT is the oldest building in La Défense and proudly proclaims the neighbourhood’s modernist ambitions. In fact, now in its sixth decade, its highly recognisable architecture has aged beautifully. The Centre for New Industries and Technologies has had many functions over the years, including offices and a convention centre. Today, it is the retailers of Les Quatre Temps that attract the majority of visitors. The CNIT building is home to about 35 of the mall’s shops and 15 of its restaurants. Since its 2009 renovation, the landmark’s huge vaulted roof gleams whiter than ever.
