Bund Architectural Walk

The Bund stretches for 1.5 km, from Waibaidu Bridge to Nanpu Bridge on the west bank of the Huangpu River. Transformed into a pedestrianised promenade in 2009, the Bund is studded with stately buildings, interspersed with stylish restaurants and trendy shops. Strolling around there is like travelling into the heart of the old international concessions in which all styles of architecture are combined. Renaissance, Gothic, Baroque, Neo-classical, Art Deco… the façades compete in boldness, from the Russian and British consulates to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Building via the Peace Hotel and the Bank of China.
