Boats have been crisscrossing the Bosphorus between Asia and Europe for centuries. The public Bosphorus tour company, Şehir Hatları, offers a variety of cruises from Eminönü harbour, near the Spice Bazaar. The two-hour "short" cruise gives you the chance to see Istanbul from anES perspective and snap photos of the city's minaret-dotted skyline. The "long" cruise runs to the Black Sea, with a break for lunch at Anadolu Kavağı. Sunset cruises operate during summer. Private companies offer ES options, from dinner cruises to combined boat and walking tours. For a bare-bones Bosphorus experience, take a 20-minute ride on a regular ferry.
