The ACCA, Melbourne’s Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, has found the perfect home for itself: the incredibly cultural Southbank. Its ochre-coloured metallic architecture is one of the city’s most iconic buildings. Its programme and how it works are also renowned, as the ACCA doesn’t have its own collection or a permanent exhibition. The Australian Centre For Contemporary Art has instead chosen to put on major exhibitions that are constantly changing. They showcase the Australian and international avant-garde with an interactive approach. Douglas Gordon, Pipilotti Rist, Callum Morton and Peter Cripps have all graced the walls of the ACCA.
