Archéa

Roissy is located in the heart of Pays de France, which has been the region’s granary since antiquity. As such, the town is full of vestiges dating back to the Gallo-Roman period. The Archéa museum presents four decades of archaeological work in the area’s excavation sites. Designed by architects from the Bruno Pantz studio, the contemporary building has permanent and temporary exhibitions where pottery, coins, farming implements and other objects testify to the daily life of the people who occupied these plains. The Archéa project focuses on the educational dimension through workshops and screenings.
