The Temples of Hong Kong

Whether they’re nestling in the shadows of the city’s skyscrapers or perched upon lush green hills, Hong Kong’s temples are true havens of peace. Right in the midst of the city, Man Mo Temple, the biggest of its kind in Hong Kong, celebrates the god of literature and the god of war in complete serenity. The impressive Wong Tai Sin Temple sees the most visitors, and for one very good reason: it is supposed to grant the wishes of its loyal worshippers. For its part, the Tin Hau Temple has paid tribute to the goddess of the sea since the 18th century.
