Tantris
Fantastical Asiatic mythical creatures made of concrete greet visitors. The interior is tinted in black, red and gold. Lamps with spherical shades grace the tables. This is how Tantris has looked since 1971. Thanks to its succession of celebrated chefs – Eckart Witzigmann, Heinz Winkler and now Hans Haas – this Munich institution has been awarded at least one Michelin star, along with other honours, almost since its founding. Here, diners savour classic French cuisine in set menus or à la carte. The sommeliers suggest the ideal accompaniment from the cellar, boasting over 30,000 bottles of fine wines from around the globe.
