The 69 works of La Défense Art Collection constitute the largest open-air museum in the world, and it’s completely free. These three marked paths give the business district a distinct personality. An integral part of the La Défense project, launched in the late 1950s, the artistic circuit reflects the desire to make this new district the symbol of an avant-garde Paris. Visitors can admire the sculptures, fountains and other installations by such great artists as César, Agam and Miró while walking around the foot of skyscrapers. Interpretive panels make it possible to discover the history and meaning of each work.
