Palais de Tokyo

Opened in 2002 not far from the Trocadéro, the Palais de Tokyo can be found in the west wing of one of the buildings from the 1937 World Fair. Its exhibitions focus on creativity and contemporary art. Ange Leccia, Thomas Hirschhorn, Duane Michals and Cindy Sherman are all represented here, and Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat retrospectives attracted huge crowds. The Palais de Tokyo also organises film screenings, concerts and various performances. You can extend the experience by viewing the 20th and 21st century collections at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris. Works by Picasso, Brassaï and Niki de Saint-Phalle fill the east wing of the building, alongside temporary exhibitions.
