Nicknamed “Paddo” by Sydneysiders, Paddington is the ultimate shopping destination. A whole host of designer boutiques and vintage shops have made their way to Oxford Street and the perpendicular William Street. Paddington is also home to some of the hippest labels: Assin sells a range of different brands, and the fashion here is diverse and avant-garde. The chic boudoir that is Parlour X is home to big names from Comme des Garçons to Victoria Beckham, along with Isabel Marant. If you’re more interested in artisan products or are keen to encourage local designers, you should visit the trendy local markets on a Saturday. Paddington Market, situated outside the Paddington Uniting Church, boasts more than 150 stalls.
