Nationaltheater Munich
The Nationaltheater is home of the internationally renowned Bavarian State Ballet and Bavarian State Opera. Located in the city centre and inspired by the Odéon–Théâtre de l’Europe in Paris, the building resembles a Greek temple. It is one of the world’s largest opera stages,with a 2,500sqm hall and space for over 2,000 guests. During an early-afternoon guided tour, visitors can discover the beautiful royal box, the opulent crystal chandeliers and learn all about the house’s eventful history. In the evening are operas, concerts and ballets set amidst excellent acoustics and the lavish setting of the Königssaal (Royal Hall).
