Namdaemun Market

This huge traditional market located in Seoul’s Jung-gu district offers a must-visit "authentic" shopping experience in Seoul. Situated near the famous Namdaemun gate, one can hardly miss it; especially as it spans 66 hectares and brings together more than 10,000 shops and stalls. It is rumored that one can find over 1,700 different types of retail goods there, including: clothing, kitchenware, stationery, flowers, accessories, food, seafood and fresh produce. Tourists also appreciate it more for its local handicrafts. Good to know, the prices here are 10-20% cheaper than elsewhere in the city.
