Museum of Transport & Technology

In Auckland’s Western Springs suburb, two buildings house the fascinating Museum of Transport and Technology. In the first site, an old pumping station displays ancient steam engines, trams, trains, vintage traction engines, vintage cars and fire trucks. Trace New Zealand’s entire transportation history here, along with the beginnings of aviation. The second site explores this theme in greater detail, including the country’s military history, where visitors can admire vehicles from the Second World War.
