Museum of Siam

The Museum of Siam is housed in a large 19th century building. Through its themed rooms, it takes you on an interactive, educational journey, through the history and culture of Thailand. With models, crafts and everyday objects, the museum’s collections have plenty to teach us. Go back in time to learn about the origins of the country 3,000 years ago. Find out about Ayutthaya, the old capital of Siam, and the ins and outs of rice growing. You can also learn more about Buddhism, whose principles are still a vital part of Thai life today, or about life in the remote corners of the country, and remember how learning can be fun.
