Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art (or MCA) is found in the historic neighbourhood of The Rocks. This area, exclusively dedicated to Australian as well as international contemporary art, was completely redeveloped between 2010 and 2012 and reopened as the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. Paintings, sculptures, drawings and new media… The MCA has a collection of 4,000 works of art, from Pop Art to Aboriginal art. It also hosts a regular schedule of themed exhibitions and welcomes renowned artists and up-and-coming talents. The MCA is constantly evolving, keen to reflect the richness and diversity of the contemporary art world.
