Cantini Museum

Born in 1826, Jules Cantini made a fortune with his polychrome statues, carved in marble from his own quarries. This son of Marseille bought a mansion built in the 17th-century, and in 1936 his home became a museum. Today the Musée Cantini is famous for its collection of modern art.
