In the shadows of raintrees around the church of St. David stands
the Mossman Markets in Port Douglas. Every Saturday from 7 to 12 p.m., local producers set
up their stands in this market in the north of Port Douglas, close to the River Mossman and
the Mossman Gorge. The location is ideal to mingle with locals and become familiar with the
tropical fruits of the region, by taste and smell, along with all types of spices and
typical pastries. Here, one can also find handmade clothing, shoes, find local crafts or
simply take the time to wander.
