Le Marais

Le Marais is an iconic neighbourhood on the Right Bank. Its streets are lined with private mansions, some of which have been pedestrianised, including the Rue des Rosiers. There is a unique atmosphere here – the arrival of the gay community in the 1970s transformed the area. It’s now ultra-trendy, with a whole host of sophisticated galleries, vibrant cafés, cool concept-stores such as The Broken Arm and Suite.341 and designer boutiques. Fashion is part of the DNA of the Marais. Eleven Paris, COS, The Kooples Sport and Erotokritos all have well-established homes here, as do French fashion brands such as Sandro and Maje.
