A city within a city, the Kuala Lumpur City Centre is one of the capital’s must-see destinations. Its shopping centres, huge malls and soaring towers of offices create a stunning, ultra-modern architectural effect. Each competing with the next for originality, the buildings in this business district are giants made of concrete, glass and metal, filling the skies of Kuala Lumpur. The crown jewel is the Petronas Twin Towers. The architect behind them, César Pelli, also designed the Menara Carigali Tower. The residential buildings with views of the twin towers are, for their part, the work of the Australian firm AJ+C.
