Situated on the right bank of the Brisbane River, the geometric and transparent building of the GoMa houses a vast space dedicated to contemporary art. The 16 000 pieces from its collection, which is shared with the Queensland Art Gallery, features artists from Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Admire the Aboriginal art works of William Barak and Joe Rootsey, Australian artists William Dobell and Ian Burn, and Nam June Paik, Ron Mueck, Thomas Ruff and Sterbak. Temporary exhibitions also feature the works of local Queensland artists, along with international artists such as David Lynch. The GoMa Café, which is open to the public, is the ideal place for a delicious break between exhibitions.
