Gaya Herrington
Gaya Herrington is an economist who thinks our economies are aiming at the wrong target. She is best known for going back to The Limits to Growth, the 1972 MIT study that modeled what happens when growth meets a finite planet, and testing it against fifty years of real data. She now teaches Harvard's first course on post-growth. In Lima she makes the case for resetting the goal, from more to enough for each — and for what a business gains when it stops chasing the first one.

Pamela Pavliscak
Pamela Pavliscak teaches at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and specializes in cyberethnography, the study of how people actually live online. She has spent a decade collecting the texts, screenshots, and small moments that make up our emotional lives. Most of us, she says, are caught between "this is ruining me" and "this is where my life happens." Her research shows that detoxes and screen-time limits do little for happiness; what works is changing how we're online rather than how much. In Lima, she shows us how to repair our relationship with the machines we live with.
